A number of local towns and villages held elections on Tuesday.
The Village of Oriskany held elections Tuesday night for village justice as well as village trustees.
Daniel Appler won the village justice position with 89 votes. He was opposed by Long Gu who received 70 votes.
The village trustee had two positions available with three candidates in the running. Christopher Burtch won the first position with 128 votes. The second position went to John Kasprzyk who received 97 votes. While the third candidate, Michael O'Donell received 86 votes.
The Village of Poland held elections Tuesday for a mayor position as well as two trustee positions.
Mary Paul won the mayor position with 39 votes. While her opposition Marc Constantine received 16 votes.
The two trustee positions went to Marie Cook and Mark Constantine. Cook won the 1 year position with 8 votes. Her counterpart Constantine took the 2 year position with 13 votes.
The Village of Dolgeville held elections for its mayor and board of trustees positions.
Republican Mary Puznowski won the mayor position with 217 votes. The opposing candidate Bruce T. Lyon of the Roaring Lion Party received 170 votes.
The first of the trustee positions went to William Reynolds who received 349 votes. While the second position was won by Amber Kraszewski with a total of 332 votes.
