UTICA, N.Y. --- On Thursday, the WKTV Heart Telethon raised $80,394 for the American Heart Association. This year's telethon was run differently than in years past due to the pandemic. Volunteers spent the day collecting donations through Zoom, by phone and by text.
Usually, broadcast at the same time as America’s Greatest Heart Run & Walk, but Thursday's Heart Telethon was a standalone event at the offices of its presenting sponsor, Scalzo, Zogby & Wittig.
The expo this year will be held online from May 10 -14. The Run/Walk will be held virtually on May 15. Those interested in registering and forming a team should visit UticaHeartRunWalk.org.
