The Madison County War Veterans Committee recognized the Oneida Indian Nation Monday for contributions to the War Veterans Memorial dedicated to those lost in the War on Terror.
The memorial monument, located outside the Madison County courthouse, is dedicated to Lance Cpl. Jeremy S. Lasher, of the United State Marine Corps, and Sgt. Edward H. Bolen of the United States Army.
Attending the ceremony were, Ray Halbritter, Oneida Indian Nation representative and Nation Enterprises CEO; Brian Patterson, Oneida Indian Nation Council member; John Becker, Madison County Board of Supervisors chairman; Madison County Sheriff Todd Hood; members of the war veterans committee.
