Friday night, low temperatures will be near zero degrees with mostly clear skies. With barely any
clouds, a lot of the heat at the surface is released back into the upper atmosphere. This is because heat
naturally wants to rise. Clouds are a good barrier to holding in heat near the surface at night.
Saturday morning will also be chilly with temperatures in the single digits. Bundle up in warm layers and
use the car starter before you head out the door. However, we will have some sunshine throughout the day
with partly sunny skies. This will heat up the air quickly into the lower 30s by Saturday afternoon. Partly
cloudy skies Saturday night will hold in some of the heat at the surface as low temperatures only decrease
to around 20 degrees.
Sunday morning starting with partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the lower 20s. By the afternoon, we
will quickly warm up into the lower 40s. This is because we will have lots of sunshine under partly cloudy
skies and a South wind bringing warm air into the region. Sunday night, partly cloudy skies remain with low
temperatures only reaching the upper 20s.
Warmer weather is expected to stick around for the start of your Christmas week. Stay tuned!
