American Heroes Golf Tournament and Fun Day: Rome, NY

There will be a golf tournament to thank those who serve us in our communities everyday starting at 10:00 this morning at the Teugega Country Club in Rome. The Rome Police Department is hosting this very first American Heroes Golf Tournament!

Registration for the tournament begins at 8:30a.m. and the tournament itself begins at 10 a.m. but even if you're not golfing, there's plenty to do! There will be police, fire, and military vehicles on display for the public to come check out, and there will also be a fingerprinting station and a K9 demonstration!

All proceeds of the event will be donated to local charities.

FREE Admission Night at the Utica Zoo: Utica, NY

Tonight is the last FREE admission night of the summer to the Utica Zoo!

From 4p.m. to 7p.m. tonight the Utica Zoo is open completely FREE for the public! The night will support MVP Health Care. 

FREE Levitt AMP Concert: Utica, NY

Tonight is the last FREE Levitt Amp Concert at Kopernik Park this summer!

The night starts at 6:00 and you're welcome to bring chairs and blankets! Tonight's performer is Canadian Roots rock band RPR. 

New York State Fair: Geddes, NY

The 2018 New York State Fair continues this week! There are a lot of events happening this week:

Free concerts at Chevy Court featuring The Temptations, Lil' Yachty, Big and Rich, ZZ Top, and many more! There is always the chance to experience unique food, rides, activities, and more!

Today (Monday, August 27th), there is a full schedule of activities including a police hockey tournament, a rooster crowing contest, a law enforcement day parade, a free Smokey Robinson concert, and a drone light show to finish out the night!!
