WASHINGTON, D.C.--
President Trump has responded to a shocking New York Times op-ed, which was highly critical of the president.
The op-ed is reportedly written by an unnamed senior administration official, who says some people close to President Trump are working to thwart his impulses. The article also asserted that a handful of appointees consider President Trump to be "amoral," and on the precipice of dangerous decisions that could put the country at risk.
In response, President Trump lashed out at the New York Times calling the column a "gutless editorial."
In addition to the president's comments, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders issued a written statement which says in part, "the individual behind this piece has chosen to deceive, rather than support, the duly elected president of the United States. He is not putting country first, but putting himself and his ego ahead of the will of the american people."
