Clinton, N.Y. - No. 5 state-ranked Whitesboro won its eighth straight game with a 4-3 decision over No. 6 state-ranked Clinton at the Clinton Arena, Thursday.
Frank Centro got Whitesboro on the board first in the opening frame with Josh Bono extending their lead to two.
Before the end of the period, Clinton would strike with Tyler Karuzas scoring to cut the deficit to one.
Clinton would then tie it in the second with a goal from Antonio Femia. Whitesboro then retook a 3-2 lead thanks to Logan Lachacz.
With just over one minute remaining in the middle stanza, Corbin Melie got Clinton back even again.
Lacacz scored his second of the night in the third, the lone goal of the final frame to lift Whitesboro to the win.
Whitesboro's Cameron Manley made 19 saves on the night, while Clinton's Josh Trask stopped 16.
Whitesboro improves to 8-1 overall (3-0, Division II), while Clinton drops to 4-3 overall (2-1, Division II).
