MARCY, N.Y. - Standout Whitesboro Warriors softball pitcher, Caitlin Reilly, will be staying local to play at SUNY Polytechnic Institute next school year.
On the varsity team since eighth grade, Reilly's fifth and final season was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, in what would be her final game last season, she recorded her 500th career strikeout on the mound during the 2019 Section III Class A final against Jamesville-DeWitt.
Following that season, she was named the Tri-Valley Pitcher of the Year and All-Mohawk Valley Softball Player of the year.
In addition, she's a three-time Tri-Valley League all-star (2017, 2018, 2019), two-time Central New York all-star (2018, 2019), two-time All-Mohawk Valley all-star (2018, 2019) and a All-Section III all-star (2019).
Reilly has received All-State honors twice, as well, being selected for the Third Team in 2019 after being a Fourth Team selection in 2018.
She will be studying Nursing at SUNY Poly.
