UTICA – A woman was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after her vehicle crashed into the Hotel at Utica Centre, formerly the Radisson Hotel.

Officials say the woman accidentally hit the gas pedal as she was leaving the Bank of Utica drive-thru, and she then crashed into glass panels near the front of the hotel, next to the parking garage on Washington Street.

The crash was first reported at 12:01 p.m., according to the Oneida County 911 Center. The Utica police and fire departments both responded to the scene.

Officials say the woman was transported to a local hospital to be treated for minor facial injuries, which are believed to have been caused by airbags.
