New Hartford, N.Y. - New Hartford Police are not releasing the name of a woman they say was struck and killed while walking across Seneca Turnpike Saturday night.
Police say it happened around 10:15 P.M. near the intersection of Seneca Turnpike and Oakdale Avenue, across from Sangertown Square Mall.
Police say the woman was believed to have been attempting to cross Seneca Turnpike when she was struck.
They say life saving measures were taken by first responders. The woman was then taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica where she was pronounced dead.
So far no charges have been filed against the driver, whom police, so far, are also not identifying.
