Woman killed following 4th Lake snowmobile crash south of Eagle Bay

Police say they believe somewhere between 1 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. she was disoriented, struck a dock and was ejected some 186 feet into a wooded area.

A Saratoga Springs woman is dead following a snowmobile crash near 4th Lake just south of Eagle Bay.

Town of Webb police say 28-year-old Kristyn Abbale was reported missing in the early morning hours on Sunday. They found her body shortly after 10 a.m. at Lawrence Point.

Police say they believe somewhere between 1 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. she was disoriented, struck a dock and was ejected some 186 feet into a wooded area.

Town of Webb police say they believe unsafe speed and alcohol involvement are the preliminary cause of the crash.

Just this year alone, there have been at least 18 deaths related to snowmobile crashes statewide.
