NEW YORK MILLS, N.Y. – Three people helped pull a woman out of a burning car after a crash on Campbell Avenue in New York Mills Monday afternoon.
The two-car accident happened just before 4 p.m.
New York Mills Fire Chief Richard Ulinski says a fire captain from the department happened to be a block away from the crash, and was first to respond to the scene. He and a police officer as well as another passerby, helped pull the woman from the car.
Ulinski says the three likely saved the woman’s life.
She and the other driver were both taken to the hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries is not yet known.
