SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The trial for the Worcester teen accused of murdering his father has been postponed, after a COVID-19 outbreak at the Hillbrook Detention Center where he’s being held.
Jury selection was scheduled to begin this week in Dylan Robinson’s murder trial.
Dylan is charged with murder, burglary and attempted robbery, after he and three others allegedly broke into his father Kenneth Robinson’s house in 2019. Kenneth was shot and killed before the home was set on fire.
Dylan, who was 15 at the time of the incident, will be tried as an adult.
The new trial date is set for June 21.
Nicolas Meridy, the only adult charged in the case, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in August, and was sentenced to 22 years to life in prison.
