FRANKFORT, NY - You know the old saying. "One man's trash is another man's treasure".
Well, there was plenty of treasure to be found at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds Saturday.
After a one-year hiatus due to the coronavirus, the world's largest yard sale returned to Herkimer County. Hundreds of vendors set up shop hoping to entice the thousands of people who passed through the gates looking for bargains.
There was everything from homemade crafts, to antiques, record albums to old VHS movies. Pretty much something for everyone.
"It's been great to be able to hold an event after covid,” said Karen Carey of Town Square Media which held the event.
“We had an immediate response from vendors who wanted to participate. We can tell just by the attendance that people just want to get out and do things in the community”.
