The Yorkville woman who has been listed in critical condition since her home caught fire last week has died, according to New York State Police and Upstate Medical University officials.

Just after 10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, a fire broke out at 95 Campbell Ave. in Yorkville. Heather Mishlanie, 41, and her daughter, 7-year-old Taylor Mishlanie, were both pulled from a second-floor apartment.

Taylor Mishlanie was rushed to St. Luke’s hospital where she was pronounced dead, and Heather Mishlanie was airlifted to Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, where she was listed in critical condition. Over the weekend hospital officials confirmed that Heather Mishlanie was being kept on life support, and on Tuesday officials confirmed she has died.

State police are leading the investigation into the fire, but police officials say that before the investigation can move forward, they need the cause and the origin from state fire investigators.

We will provide more information on the investigation as it becomes available.
