Rachel Murphy is a multimedia journalist for WKTV.

She started working for WKTV in July 2013 as the overnight producer for NEWSChannel 2 at Daybreak and NEWSChannel 2 at Sunrise. She was then promoted to producing NEWSChannel 2 at 6, along with reporting.

Before working for WKTV she was a reporter for the Rome Observer and wrote for the Oneida Daily Dispatch.

She graduated cum laude from Utica College with a bachelor's degree in journalism with a concentration in broadcast.

While at Utica College she produced three radio programs for WPNR 90.7 FM. She worked as the assistant to the station advisor and the music director. She served as the designer for the Tangerine. Rachel also interned at WKTV.

During her senior year Rachel was recognized by the Utica College Journalism and Public Relations department for the Gary and Jeanne LaBella Transition Award.
