Katrina Smith co-anchors NEWSChannel2 at Sunrise bright and early Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. – 7 a.m. on NBC and CBS-Utica and from 7 a.m. – 7:30 a.m. on the CW.

When she’s not on the anchor desk, Katrina spends time with her four children, usually outside – whether they’re boating, hitting the ski slopes on snowboards or hiking.

Katrina attended SUNY at Albany, Mohawk Valley Community College, and earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Utica College with a concentration in International Studies.

She worked at WSTM in Syracuse prior to coming back to her hometown to work first as a producer at WKTV, then as the morning anchor.

From judging competitions and talent shows, to speaking to youngsters about the importance of hard work (and spelling and grammar), Katrina is active daily in the community.

If you have a story idea, you can contact Katrina at ksmith@wktv.com.
