Gary grew up in Utica, attending Proctor High School, and then Utica College. After graduating, he spent a number of years as a computer programmer/analyst in San Diego, California.
Desiring a more people oriented profession, Gary decided to enroll in the Masters in Broadcast Journalism program at Syracuse University.
After that graduation, Gary began his career in TV. After spending several years in Rochester, and the last six years in Cleveland, Ohio, he decided to return home for family reasons.
Outside of work, Gary still enjoys numerous sports including tennis and basketball.
