rain moving away.... and clearer skies coming... but then the cold sets in! and... good afternoon-i'm jason powles the utica st. patrick's day is now less than 24 hours away. coming up tonight at five we'll talk safety and law enforcement. but just about an hour ago...our own brent kearney was at the painting o the green line in front of the stanely...he joins us in studip with your top story this noon brent good after noon. well jason its a yearly tradition that i think the irish here in utica really look forward to. each year the newly appointed grand marshal of the parade takes on the task of painting that green stripe right down the middle of genesee street in front of the stanley theatre. this year's parade grand marshal is john sullivan.. the contractor working on the irish cultural center that is nearing completion in utica. as you can see.. the skies cleared giving way for a nice day for the painting o' the green line. "the whole thing from the passing of the shy l to now thepainting of the green line, it just keeps getting better and better and of coueto about, its going to be fantastic.
