"the hardest fun that you'll ev havethats one ofhe first gli. these are the best days where i can be in an enviorment with theskids who so energetic and so joyful, its the best." "it can be vy challging especially since we have such a small team. so you realy have to know your stuff anyou real have to know wu are doing because its all mechanical work its electrical work and occassionally programming." some coming as far as turkey to compete. "when we expierence thatind oft wanna be an engineer and that kind of competition helps us expierence stem group work and that kind of thing." ea year the ana is different and so is the challange. "they are working really ha this and have been for only 6 weeks. the challee is reesed for these students. the field you see out there, every year is different the tast th have to complish every year are different. the challenge comes out in january and they only have 6 weeks to build a 140 pound robot from nothing. this year, the goal of the robots is to get as many of these orange balls as they canaddinghe challenge e ara simulates a sand storm on mars. forcing the students to operate their robots blind. "you really have to know your stuff d it can be hd at times." "so why do you do this, then? because i love it i did it for four yearsand i just couldnt gef it. i just had to keep doing it while i was in college. is it like an addiction? it is, it definitely is." and that grand prize that i told you about earlier is a trip to the world championships in arpil. so alot of these teams are working extra hard for that
