until noon. we'll re-broadcast it on st. patrick's day at 11 am sunday on the cw-11. brand new since 6- indivisible mohawk valley and central new york citizens in action, rallyed at the state office building in utica today, highlighting two state budget issues. news channel 2's caitlin irla was there and has more on the issues being discussed, caitlin. cal, the two budget issues these groups are rallying for are the securing of funding for public schools and campaign finance reform. i spoke with a few of the organizers and they say they will continue to rally for action on both causes. in the budget proposals are plans to fully fund foundation aid for public schools. the state developed fountion aid which is a formula used to determine how much funding schools should receive. "according to the foundation aide formula, utica public schools are owed 47 million dollars by the state,thats enormousmount of money that our children need." kristina andreotta says her son is 3 years old, and this is important to her because he will battending uticaublicschoo. "i want to make sure that he has every opportunity possible and honestly we need resources to make that happen." cam tien says this is also impoant to h because he has school aged children and he teaches in the rome city school district. "the only way for anyone to move on, to proe, to get better opportunities is to get a good education. without adequete fun r education i dont think thats going to happen and thats going to put a lot of kids in a disadvantage." another proposal in the assembly and senate budgets for a small donormatching fund, which organizers say would even the playing field for candidates that don't come from a wealthy backround. "public financing rules would be matching contributions. for any small contribution under 17dollars, you would see a matching contribution 5, 6 fold sohis would allow people to have more of a voice and feel like they have more power. give power back tohe pee." right now, the state budget is being negotiated, and
