Retired war veterans and first responders form across the area gathered in the Parkway Center for the ceremony.

upper 70s. some scattered light rain early thursday. highs in the low 70s. today first responders from around the area held a ceremony of rememberance for the first responders that have passed away this past year. retired war veterans and first responders form across the area gathered in the parkway center for the ceremony. the department heads from the utica fire department as well as the police department read out the names of those who passed this year. orgainizers say that they honor the fallen first responders in the same way that we do our war veterans. "well its a rememberance, as we remember our military veterans who passed away we remember our people who have served the community in the police and fire the same way." the families of those fallen local heros were also honored from today's ceremony. there
