after press conference. good afternoon--i'm joleen ferris; jason is off today. utica police are following leads, many, in the form of graphic social media posts, after a woman was found dead on poe street, off of culver ave, in eastuticsunda a man is hospitalized with severe lacerations. news channel 2's brent kearney spoke to utica police this morning and has an update for us now. good afternoon joleen, the incint tt ultimately caused the 20 minute delay to yesterday's race is still under investigation. what we do know now is that police got a search warrant for the individual's home in bridgeport. we are unaware of what they found as a result of the search warrant. we are also hearing of very graphic pictures that are circulating around social media. if you see those pictures the police department is asking you to report the pictures to the website host. seargeant bryan coroto told me at several calls came into 911 yesterday, one of them being the male individual involved in the homicide.
