...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Light snow will begin as early as Saturday morning. Snow will become heavy late Saturday afternoon and Saturday night and continue into Sunday morning. Snow will then transition to lake effect Sunday afternoon and continue through Monday. At this time, greater than 9 inches of snow is possible. Gusty winds and arctic air will also produce significant blowing and drifting snow and wind chills well below zero.

* WHERE...All of western and north central New York.

* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through Monday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on snow covered and slippery road conditions. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.

Begin needed preparations at home or with your vehicle. Travel may become difficult, so plan accordingly.

...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 12 to 20 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...In Pennsylvania, Bradford, Susquehanna, Northern Wayne and Wyoming counties. In New York, Northern Oneida, Yates, Seneca, Southern Cayuga, Onondaga, Steuben, Schuyler, Chemung, Tompkins, Madison, Southern Oneida, Cortland, Chenango, Otsego, Tioga, Broome and Delaware counties.

* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through Sunday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Also, winds will pick up considerably Sunday afternoon, causing blowing snow and possible dangerously low wind chills into Sunday night.

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations in excess of 9 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph Sunday afternoon and evening.

* WHERE...Southern Vermont, western Massachusetts, and the Capital District, Lake George Saratoga region, southern Adirondacks, Mohawk Valley, Schoharie Valley, Catskills, and northern and central Taconics in New York.

* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through Sunday evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible due to heavy snow. Blowing snow could result in reduced visibilities Sunday afternoon and evening.
