...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO 8 PM EDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Southeast winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts over 45 mph are possible this evening for the Taconics, Berkshires, northwest hills of Connecticut and southern Green Mountains of Vermont, then Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected across the entire region on Thursday.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Vermont, northwestern Connecticut, east central New York and western Massachusetts.

* WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 8 PM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING... The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a

* Flood Watch for all of eastern New York and western New England.

* From 8 PM EDT this evening through Friday morning.

* Forecast rain amounts of 1 to 3 inches with isolated 4 inches will fall across the region tonight. Rainfall will be heavy at times, resulting in rising water levels on area streams and rivers. Furthermore, low lying areas and blocked storm drains from fallen leaves and debris may experience rising water levels.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
