...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions near and north of Route 28. Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 8 inches across the extreme northern portions of Herkimer and Hamilton counties. Winds gusting as high as 30 mph.

* WHERE...Northern Herkimer and Hamilton Counties.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM EST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Characteristic of snow will be light and fluffy with blowing and drifting snow are expected.

Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle.

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions. Additional snow accumulations of 8 to 16 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...The Eastern Lake Ontario Region.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM EST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult to impossible. Blowing and drifting snow will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning and evening commutes. Strong winds could cause some tree damage and result in isolated power outages.

Strong winds will cause significant blowing and drifting snow, frequently reducing visibilities to zero. Travel is strongly discouraged.
