...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM EDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE...Delaware, Otsego and Chenango counties.

* WHEN...Periods of snow continue through the overnight, some rain could mix in across the valleys before sunset. The snow could be moderate or even heavy at times later this evening into the first half of the overnight, falling at 1 inch per hour.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 8 inches. Localized additional amounts up to 10 inches across the higher elevations along the Route 20 corridor. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will create areas of blowing and drifting snow this evening and tonight.

* WHERE...Cortland, Onondaga and Madison counties.

* WHEN...Periods of snow continue through the overnight, some rain could mix in across the valleys before sunset. The snow could be moderate or even heavy at times later this evening into the first half of the overnight, falling at 1 inch per hour.

* WHAT...Heavy wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches, except 12 to 16 inches across the southern Green Mountains. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE... Bennington and western Windham Counties in southern Vermont, the southern Adirondacks, western Mohawk Valley, northern Taconics, the Schoharie Valley, Helderbergs and the eastern Catskills in east central New York and the northern Berkshires in western Massachusetts.

* WHEN...Until noon EDT Saturday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. Snowfall rates of an inch an hour are possible this morning and also tonight. Isolated power outages are possible.

* WHERE...Lewis county. Greatest snow amounts across the Tug Hill Plateau and western foothills of the Adirondacks.

* WHEN...Until noon EDT Saturday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel will be very difficult with snow covered roads and poor visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the evening commute.
